Return to Tool Positioners
Air-Hydraulic Tool Amplifiers

Samsomatic's line of tool positioners provides lots of options for controlling the size and quality of bored and machined features in all kinds of parts. One of the reasons that this system is so convenient to install and use is our consistent use of simple, reliable, and advanced methods of energizing and controlling those positioners.

Samsomatic pioneered the use of hydraulic tool positioner actuation, and further innovation made it simple to fit this technology to existing machining operations worldwide. The key to this simplicity? Samsomatic's unique means of amplifying a pneumatic signal, right at your workstation, with our cleverly designed TA series of Air-Hydraulic Tool Positioner Amplifiers.

These amplifiers make it easy to upgrade your existing machining operation to include all of the benefits of tool positioner control. The control signal for the amplifier assumes the form of air pressure ranging from 0 to 60 psi. This range of pressure corresponds to tool displacements typically ranging from 0 to 0.008" of travel. The amplifier converts air pressure, by means of a compact and dependable diaphragm system, to the hydraulic pressure needed to energize the inherently-stiff Samsomatic tool positioner. That can be up to 7,680 psi!

The TA-100 is compact in size, and can mount right on the machine spindle in rotary applications. This compact amplifier is ideal for applications in which single tool positioners, or multiple tool positioners with different setting requirements, are used. For applications requiring multiple tool positioners with the same setting requirements, TA-600 has higher capacity, a built-in reservoir, and mounts conveniently at your workstation.

Samsomatic's Air-Hydraulic amplifiers make it easy for you to upgrade to the reliable accuracy of the Samsomatic tool positioner system.
